The Picture of Dorian Gray,
a contemporary choreography
Below is a choreography based on themes from The Picture of Dorian Gray! A team of super talented artists have been able to come together and make this initial spark into a realized choreography video! These artists and teams include Eleanor Weir, Kaelen Gouviia, The Calcutta Review, and myself along with the support of private donors and a generous grant from the Maryland Council for the Arts. Additionally, with the insight provided by Oscar Wilde aficionados Benjamin Egerman and Debra Elfenbein, the ability to rehearse at Charm City Ballet, and the filming at The Belvedere this choreography video was able to become something special. While researching, an opportunity was provided to see a first edition copy of The Picture of Doran Gray at The Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland. This was super cool and the below photo is from that experience!
